Gisela Princess of Saxony, Duchess of Saxony, Margravine of Meissen has been Chair of the Support Committee within the Saxony State Foundation for Nature and the Environment since July 2001. This body supports the goals of the Foundation. It is made up of over 50 representatives from business, science, the media, politics, culture and the community, who support the Foundation as partners and supporters.Together with the Foundation, Gisela Princess of Saxony takes part in public meetings to raise awareness of nature and environmental protection. But she also develops contact with volunteer nature protectors, meets with experts and is also patron of the Saxony Environmental Ball or other events. In this regard, she sees the need for sustainable development with an eye to the future. Gisela, Margravine of Saxony is married to Alexander, Margrave of Saxony, designated head of the house of Wettin, and she is also a mother of four.
