Saxony’s insect diversity

Information platform about 25,000 insects - All help welcome!

2010 was the Year of Bio-Diversity. This was the impetus for the Saxony State Foundation for Nature, the Environment Nature Protection Fund and the Entomology Working Group of the NABU Saxony State Association to set up the project “Insect Diversity in Saxony”.

The project has laid the foundation for a digital information platform about an estimated 25,000 species of insects in the Free State, who represent the most diverse group of organisms.

You can even get involved before you start at www.insekten-sachsen.de. This targets all researchers, voluntary nature protection helpers, and also all schoolkids, students and anyone else who is interested in the subject.
